TYPES OF VISAS

There are three Types of Visas which grant Immigration Status in the Republic of Panama: Immigration Visas, Indefinite Visas and Temporary Visas.

- INMIGRATION VISAS :
These visas grant permanent residence in the Republic of Panama; after a year, the applicant may opt for an indefinite stay status, which entitles the holder to a Personal Identification Card. Further on, Naturalization status may be requested. They comprise:

- INDEFINITE VISAS:
These are visas granted to applicants for Indefinite Residence, which ought to be renewed every five years for equal five-year periods. They comprise:

BILATERAL FRIENDSHIP AND COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN ITALY AND PANAMA

- TEMPORARY VISAS:
These are visas granting provisional or temporary status to applicants. They may be renewed every year for up to five consecutive years. Afterwards the applicant should either change migratory status or leave the country. They comprise:
